From 'I do' to The Jimny Gathering - three weeks, one rig, endless memories.
We hit the road from Richards Bay, married mid-journey, and honeymooned at the Jimny Festival — three weeks of love, laughter, and unforgettable adventure.
We didn’t just plan a wedding — we planned an adventure.
Every stop along our three-week roadtrip held its own kind of magic — from coastal hideaways to forested escapes.
We kicked things off with a soul-soothing stay at Mantis & Moon in Umzumbe, a hidden jungle gem that perfectly captured our pre-wedding calm — hammocks, monkeys, and ocean breezes setting the tone for the adventure ahead.
From there, we wandered through history at the Old Thomas Village Museum, where time seemed to slow and we were reminded that every journey has its roots in stories long before ours.
In Gamtoos, we discovered Whacky Woods, an offbeat riverside wonderland that felt straight out of a dream — whimsical art, rustic charm, and nights spent under a blanket of stars.
From there, the road pulled us toward the Garden Route’s tranquil beauty — Sedgefield and Wilderness, where the lagoons shimmered and the forests whispered adventure. And finally, through the misty passes of the Outeniqua Mountains, we felt it — that perfect mix of awe, freedom, and gratitude that comes when love and the open road collide.
Every turn, every stop, every sunrise reminded us: this wasn’t just a route — it was the start of our greatest adventure yet.
