Our time at the Jimny Gathering 2025, hosted at Louvain Guest Farm, was nothing short of unforgettable — not only because it formed part of our honeymoon, but because it became an experience we’ll carry with us for life.

Set against the rugged beauty of the Klein Karoo, the event was curated to perfection. Even with the cold and high winds, the energy never dropped — tents stayed grounded, spirits stayed high, and every evening brought people together around the fire. With incredible live entertainment and even gin on tap, there was always something to enjoy and someone new to connect with.

One of the most surreal highlights? Becoming official Guinness World Record holders alongside a sea of fellow Jimny enthusiasts — a moment that truly captured the magic of the gathering.

But what stood out most was the community. The “Jimny Cult” is something special — a diverse mix of adventurers, families, and free spirits, all united by a shared love for the outdoors and the next journey waiting beyond the horizon. From young to old, every person added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like home.

We genuinely couldn’t have chosen a better way to celebrate our road trip wedding and honeymoon. And as if it couldn’t get any better… we went on to win the grand prize in the #WaveYourFlag competition with Des Sol — but that’s a story for another page!
