Our quick stopover at Umziki Chalets & Camping over the 2025 Christmas period turned out to be an absolute hidden gem.

Nestled on a hill overlooking the Jozini Dam, the setting is peaceful and scenic, with plenty to explore right on the property. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent family-friendly facilities—from swimming pools (complete with a fun water slide) to a well-positioned bird hide and open spaces for kids to enjoy.

Whether you're camping or prefer a bit more comfort, the accommodation options cater to both, with fully equipped chalets and great communal spaces. The lapa area in particular makes it ideal for group bookings, creating a relaxed, social atmosphere.
